However, as the QB was busy playing on the field, his father tried something uncomfortable on the stands. McCarthy’s girlfriend Katya Kuropas was present in the stadium alongside the QB’s father to support the Wolverines.
The incident occurred when McCarthy scored a great touchdown and while everyone was celebrating, the 19-year-old’s father took the chance and touched Katya’s butt in a disturbing and wrong way.
McCarthy’s father was trying to get away with it, but the camera caught everything and soon his father went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons.
McCarthy and Katya have been dating for four years now and their childhood romance has blossomed into a mature relationship. The move by McCarthy’s father was controversial as even the stadium camera cut to a commercial break after his father was caught in action. However, it was too late, as the footage had gone viral on social media.
McCarthy was unaware of the entire incident and still hasn’t commented on it. On the other hand, the controversial video crossed over a million views long ago and is currently trending on Twitter.
NFL Twitter went berserk after the incident as everyone started to take shots at McCarthy’s father for being disgusting. However, there was a small contingent of people who thought that his father did nothing wrong and he didn’t do it purposely. Although, that seems hard to believe after watching the video many times.
